The applicant proposed to mine soils from the pond
and dirt mound on the site to raise the elevation of the property behind the house to make the
backyard more useable. The project would enlarge the southeast comer of the pond by
approximately 40 feet and increase the depth of the pond from approximately 6 inches to 3 feet.
The project did not include importing or exporting soils from the site.

CITIZEN INPUT

Marlo Peterson, 6251 - 178th Avenue, indicated support of the plan and said the project would
enhance the pond as well as the property. The site currently appeared unfinished.

Public Hearing/Planning Commission/August 4, 1998
Page 1 of 2
