Case #3: <br /> <br />Consider Acquisition of Property for 153/155 Avenue Extension <br />Improvement Project <br /> <br />The City Administrator reviewed the status of the 153/155 Avenue Extension Improvement <br />Project. The, City has been approached by one of the owners from whom property is required for <br />the construction of, this.project. Due to personal circumstances, the owner would like to sell the <br />property to the City and has been waiting a number of years for the City to make an offer on the <br />property. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />The Committee recommended to the City Council that they amend the 1998 Capital <br />Improvement Program to include the 153/155 Avenue Extension fi:om the 1999 scheduled year <br />and direct staff to begin negotiations with all the property owners involved. <br /> <br />Case #4: Review Public Works Capital Improvement Program <br /> <br />Staff presented a revision of its 1998 - 2002 Capital Improvement Projects as it pertained to <br />public works street improvements. It was noted that three 1998 projects had been eliminated <br />from the program because two had been constructed and one because the project is no longer <br />deemed to be required.
