Transportation <br />Northstar Commuter Rail Line and Ramsey, Minn. <br />• Northstar, Minnesota's first commuter rail line, has a proposed rail stop <br />in Ramsey, Minn. It provides fast, convenient, hassle -free service in one of the <br />region's fastest growing corridors. The 40-mile line operates between Big Lake <br />and downtown Minneapolis, with stops in Elk River, Anoka, Coon Rapids and <br />Fridley. <br />Light Rail <br />• The 12-mile Hiawatha line, linking downtown Minneapolis, the <br />Minneapolis -St. Paul International Airport and the Mall of America, <br />provided 10 million rides in 2008, an average of 30,500 per weekday. <br />• The Twin Cities long-range transportation plan calls for developing additional <br />bus and rail "transitways" in six corridors by 2020. The plan includes <br />construction of the region's second light rail transit line in the Central Corridor <br />between downtown St. Paul and downtown Minneapolis, connecting <br />there with the Hiawatha light rail line and the Northstar commuter rail line. <br />Northstar Commuter Rail Line <br />^Y, Currnn[ Link Station f <br />psi Protmod S.
