Councilmember Haas Steffen commented that it makes sense if we plant conifers. suggested asking the homeowners if they want trees planted. Mr. Jankowski stated that he inquired of Mr. Howard about where the money would come from for the trees. We may not need as much borrow as planned and if the quantity of borrow is less than planned, there would be a proportionate reduction in the cost, however, he cautioned we should not count on that. Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to recommend Council add tree landscaping to the scope of the C.R. #116 project in the amount of $5,000. Motion carried. Voting Yes: No: None. Committee Input I) Burger King Site - Request for Open Cut on #56 Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to direct staff to write a letter about open cutting on C.R. #56 and sending a courtesy copy to Anoka County Commissioner Dennis Berg. The letter should include a description of the current condition of C,R, #56 so it is not thought that the City did not restore it to its original shape. Motion carried.
