City Planner Himmer reviewed the staff report. <br />Citizen Input <br />There was none. <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Backous, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Elvig, Backous, McGlone, <br />Tossey, and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:08 p.m. <br />Council Business <br />Mayor Ramsey called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:08 p.m. <br />Motion by Councilmember Wise, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to approve the feasibility <br />study for the 2011 Street Maintenance Program; including any proposed revisions. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Wise, Elvig, Backous, McGlone, <br />and Tossey. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />7.01: Consider authorization to bid City project #11 -21; the signalization of Armstrong <br />and Bunker Lake Boulevards <br />Assistant City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report. <br />Mayor Ramsey noted some residents may question why the school is paying a portion and the <br />City is paying a portion. He stated it is due to an agreement that was made in 2009, which the <br />City is honoring. <br />Mr. Himmer added the funding from the City is going to come from State Aid, and not from the <br />City's General Fund. <br />Public Works Director Olson added the County paid for approximately one -third of the roadway <br />improvements. <br />Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Wise, to authorize the <br />solicitation of bids for City project #11 -21. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers McGlone, Wise, Backous, Elvig, <br />and Tossey. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br />City Council / April 12, 2011 <br />Page5of9 <br />
