Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #98-10- . RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #98-22 (WATERMAIN LOOPING) CONTRACT FOR WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed on August 25, 1998, City Coucil authorized the preparation ofplans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the watermain looping, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on October 16, 1998; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: Bidder Amount of Bid W.B. Miller, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: I) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with W.B. Miller, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the watermain looping in the amount of$115,510.85. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
