DRAFT <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, October 6, 1998, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, I5153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota, regarding a <br />request for an interim use permit for a temporary office structure; case of Transwest, Inc. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Leo Anderson <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Joe Wivoda <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Cindy Sherman <br />Community Development Assistant Sean Walther <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Deemer convened the public hearing at 9:02 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman explained on July 24, 1997, the City issued an <br />interim use permit to Transwest, Inc. (aka Communicor) at 6100 Industry Avenue NW for the <br />utilization ora 720 square foot modular office on the property for a one year period. That permit <br />expired on August 1, 1998, and the applicants have requested permission to use the temporary <br />office structure for one more year to complete their assessment of space needs for expansion or <br />relocation. City Code requires a new public heating and re-issuance of a permit upon expiration <br />of the original permit. She indicated the City has previously granted permits for the use of <br />temporary office structures for two years or more in the industrial district.
