I reside at 5163 146th Circle, Ramsey, MN. Please consider this my application for a I <br />permit for the operation of a one-chair barber shop in my home. I have enclosed the following for your review. <br />The necessary application provided me by your offices. I <br />The escrow money needed by your'offices for administrative work. <br />A current statement of property taxes paid in 199.7 showing my husband and I as owners of the property, i <br />A business plan stating hours and days of operation, and expected amount of customers. I i <br />Signed statements from my neighbors agreeing to my proposed business plan. <br />I have worked as a professional barber in Coon Rapids for approximately 4 years. Although I love my career, I feel I <br />an increasing need to be home for my family. I feel that your approval of this requenst will allow me to do both. I <br />will be home for my family, yet still be able to contribute to my family financially. <br />I have listed my hours on a separate sheet which you will find enclosed. Please note that this business will operate on I <br />an appointment only basis, probably serving between 5 to 10 customers four days per week. There will be no outside <br />buildings needed for storage of equipment. Business will be done in room that is just offthe garage (it used to be a <br />den), and customers will access it through a side door into the garage. I <br />I would request a small sign that would hang above the door. I think 10 inches by 10 inches would be sufficient. The <br />waste consists only of human hair that is kept in closed compartments within the shop and then tossed in garbage I <br />bags with regular garbage pick-ups. <br /> <br />Change to the traffic in the area would be minimal, if noticeable at all. Most of my business hours coincide with <br />other people in the neighborhood. I <br />I understand this proposal will go before the planning and zoning committee on November 2, 1998.
