I have previously served on <br />the Citizens Advisory Group dealing with the new comprehensive plan and I am currently serving <br />on the Community Center Task Force. I have attended many city council meetings over the last <br />two years, as well as several Charter Commission meetings regarding the most recent charter <br />amendment. I believe I have a reasonable understanding of the main issues currently affecting the <br />city. <br /> <br />I have been employed for the last fourteen years by a residential builder/land developer located in <br />Brooklyn Park with projects in many of the Twin Cities suburban areas. As the organization's <br />Controller, I have been responsible for handling all the financial matters of the entire operation. I <br />have also worked closely with the Project Supervisor for our development operation. As a result, <br />I have a good understanding of the actual work involved in subdividing a piece of property. <br /> <br />I am seeking a position on the Planning Commission because I would like to be involved in <br />planning and implementing good public policies dealing with the anticipated growth in our city in <br />the near future.
