Incident Calls <br /> <br />The RAMSEY Fire Department responded to a total of 30 calls during the month of October. The <br />total incidents YTD for 1998 through the month of. October is 301. The breakdown of the calls is <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Fire Related 20 <br />Rescue/Personal Injury 10 <br /> <br />A detailed report of the incidents is provided later in the report. <br /> <br />2. Training <br /> <br />The following training took place in October: <br /> <br />10-07-98 Ropes and Knots 2 hr. <br /> Anoka-Hennepin Technical College <br />10-21-98 Automatic Defibrillator Refresher 2 hr. <br /> Medics Training <br />10-28-98 Annual Hose Test (Entire Inventory Tested) 3 hr. <br /> In-House Staff <br /> <br />The following training is planned for November: <br /> <br />11-04-98 <br />11-18-98 <br />11-25-98 <br /> <br />Map/Driving Drill <br />Medical Emergencies (Heart and Stroke) <br />No Drill (Thanksgiving) <br /> <br />3. Major Maintenance <br /> <br />Tire on Engine #2 was repaired by outside service <br />Strobe lights on Engine #2 have been repaired and back in service <br />Halyard on 29 ft. ladder was replaced <br />02 sensor on Gas Monitor was purchased and replaced <br />All Hose tested per NFPA standards, 4 pcs failed (1 will be discarded others will be repaired) <br />Received 2 quotes for annual garage door maintenance and opener installation <br /> <br />4. SCBA and Medical Supplies Used <br /> <br />SCBA <br /> <br />Repaired Tank #3 of cascade system (minor Peak) <br />Inspected all bottles and harnesses (all in working order) <br /> <br />Medical Supplies used <br /> Defibrillator battery changed and inspected <br /> Disposable razor put in defibrillator kit <br /> Each 02 kit now has pocket mask <br /> <br /> <br />
