Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION #98-12-__ RESOLUTION APPROVING APPRAISAL OF VALUE. WHEREAS, pursuant to its Resolution 98-06-135, the city authorized the commencement of an eminent domain action for acquisition of fee title to that property described as follows: That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 32, Range 25, lying Southwesterly of the Southwesterly right-of-way line of C.S.A.H. No. 5 and lying Easterly of the Easterly right- of-way line of Dysprosium Street and lying Westerly of the Westerly right-of-way line of Trunk Highway No. 47, subject to easements of record. Which parcel is identified as Anoka County PIN: 25-32-25- 31-0008; and (the "Subject Parcel"); and WHEREAS, the owner of the Subject Parcel has been identified as Teresa M. Laws as personal representative of the Estate of Daniel Laws; and WHEREAS, the purpose of this property acquisition is to acquire property for the construction of a Senior Citizen Housing complex; and WHEREAS, as a part of the condemnation action the City authorized that the Subject Parcel to be acquired be appraised to determine the damages incurred by the owner as a result of this taking; and WHEREAS, the City's appraiser, Herman Appraisal Services, Inc., has completed a preliminary appraisal of the Subject Parcel. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the city Council hereby approves Herman Appraisal Services, Inc.'s appraisal of value of the Subject Parcel, which amount is $252,000.00. That the City's Finance Officer is directed to issue a City check drawn on City funds made payable either to the District Court Administrator or to the Subject Parcel's owner as directed by the city Attorney.
