Councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-12-__ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPRAISAL OF VALUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to its Resolution 98-06-135, the city <br />authorized the commencement of an eminent domain action for <br />acquisition of fee title to that property described as follows: <br /> <br />That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest <br />Quarter of Section 25, Township 32, Range 25, lying <br />Southwesterly of the Southwesterly right-of-way line of <br />C.S.A.H. No. 5 and lying Easterly of the Easterly right- <br />of-way line of Dysprosium Street and lying Westerly of <br />the Westerly right-of-way line of Trunk Highway No. 47, <br />subject to easements of record. <br /> <br />Which parcel is identified as Anoka County PIN: 25-32-25- <br />31-0008; and <br /> <br />(the "Subject Parcel"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the owner of the Subject Parcel has been identified <br />as Teresa M. Laws as personal representative of the Estate of <br />Daniel Laws; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the purpose of this property acquisition is to <br />acquire property for the construction of a Senior Citizen Housing <br />complex; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as a part of the condemnation action the City <br />authorized that the Subject Parcel to be acquired be appraised to <br />determine the damages incurred by the owner as a result of this <br />taking; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's appraiser, Herman Appraisal Services, <br />Inc., has completed a preliminary appraisal of the Subject Parcel. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the city Council hereby approves Herman Appraisal <br />Services, Inc.'s appraisal of value of the Subject Parcel, <br />which amount is $252,000.00. <br /> <br />That the City's Finance Officer is directed to issue a City <br />check drawn on City funds made payable either to the District <br />Court Administrator or to the Subject Parcel's owner as <br />directed by the city Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br />
