COMPA~ PROFILE AND HISTORY <br /> <br />Company Profile <br /> <br />Anderson & Dahten, Inc. is in the job shop metal fabrlcming business serving three <br />primmT markets: the factory automation industry; the packag~ machinery <br />manufacturkng industry; and custom equipment for the food and pharmaceutical <br />/ndustries. Typical projects haclude several types of conveying systems, continuous and <br />batch rrfixing systems, storage vessels, dust collection sym~..ms, sldd mounted liquid <br />process systems and process vessels. <br /> <br />Company History <br /> <br />The Company is owned by the Knoll family. The family ha~ been in the metal fabricating <br />business since 1974. At that time, Richard A, Knoll (the father) set up and in¢orparaled <br />B, T & D Fabricating, Ino. making metal racking clips. Along with sons, Tom and Dave, <br />they ran the business from the family's home. In 1978 Richard cra:ne upon an opportunity <br />to purchase aa existing metal fabrication company, Anderson & Dahlen, l_nc. The <br />Company had been in business since 1945 and had 12 employees. After the purchase, the <br />Company leased 7,000 sq. feet of office and manufacturing ~ace fi:om the former owner. <br />Over the next five years the Knolls doubled the sales and gross profit of the business to the <br />point where they again needed more production space. The~ Company proceeded to lease <br />space in Blaine and th, City of Minneapolis. By 1988 the Company's operations were <br />consolidated into a 48,000 sq. foot facility in Coon Rapids.
