Councitmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #98-12- RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/FIRE CHIEF DEAN KAPLER WHEREAS, Dean K. Kapler was appointed Public Works Director/Fire Chief of the City of Ramsey, effective January 1998, subject to a one-year probationary period; and WHEREAS, Dean K. Kapler has successfully completed his probationay period and his performance has been documented as more than satisfactory by the City Administrator; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its December 15, 1998 meeting agreed with the staff recommendation to end the probationary period for Public Works Director/Fire Chief Dean Kapler, effective December 31, 1998. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to end the probationary period for Public Works Director/Fire Chief Dean K. Kapler, effective December 31, 1998. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 15th day of December 1998.
