Inc..omo families who need assistance in making basic repairs to their homes, Elig~131e famiJ;es can receive up to $15.000. a portion of which is forgiven each year. After five years. 50% oi= the money must be repaid when the home is sold or is no longer the owner's permanent resider~ce. Income qualificatons are baaed on househokl size. The chart on the r'~ht will show the quali~etions. In addition, appr, cants cannot have more than $25,000 in assets, excluding the value of the home. Only owner-occupied single family homes are eligible [or th~s program. If approved ~or assistance, an inspection will be done on the home to determine quarified repairs. A scope ol: work will then be g~ven to the homeowner for collecting estimates and selecting a contractor.
