PUBLIC HEARING PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA DRAFT The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Thursday, December 3, 1998, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input regarding a request for a home occupation permit; case of Christine Prigge. Members Present: Acting Chairperson Ben Deemer Commissioner Leo Anderson Commissioner Chris Dempsey Commissioner Sharon Jensen Commissioner Charles LaDue Commissioner Joe Wivoda Members Absent: Chairperson David Bawden Also Present: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik City Administrator James Norman City Attorney William Goodrich Community Development Director Cindy Sherman Community Development Assistant Scan Walther CALL TO ORDER Acting Chairperson Deemer called the public heating to order at 7:39 p.m. PRESENTATION Zoning Administrator Frolik reported that Christine Prigge of 6030 143rd Lane NW has applied for a home occupation permit to establish and operate a one-chair hair salon in her home. The applicant would be operating the business 3 evenings a week between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The room in which the home occupation will be conducted equates to 11% of the gross floor area; City Code restricts home occupations to 20%. Ms. Prigge will be the sole employee and she expects to service a maximum of 10 clients per week. Ms. Frolik advised there were no written or verbal comments received from the notified residents.
