Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-12- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT # RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM CHRISTINE PRIGGE FOR A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT AT 6030 143RD <br />LANE N.W. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Christine Prigge for a <br />home occupation permit to establish a hair salon within the dwelling on the property generally <br />known as 6030 143rd Lane N.W. and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 10, Block 2, Cedar Hills, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on November 13, 1998, Christine Prigge, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", <br />properly applied for a home occupation permit to establish a one-operator hair salon in <br />her home. <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public <br />heating pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on Thursday, December 3, 1998, <br />and that said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public <br />heating are hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That'the Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R-1 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately .3 acres in size. <br /> <br />That barber shops or beauty salons are not a permitted use in the R-1 Urban Residential <br />District. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has provided documentation to support that the home occupation will <br />be conducted within the private dwelling on the property, that the area set aside for the <br />home occupation does not exceed 20% of the total floor area of the private dwelling, and <br />the operation will not include any employment of persons not residing in the private <br />dwelling in the performance of the home occupation. <br /> <br />7. That the Applicant will reside at the location of the proposed home occupation. <br /> <br />.31 <br /> <br /> <br />
