This material is revised from that previously submitted to the City of Ramsey, as described below. Since the previous review and approval process the proposed design and scope of construction of this project has been revised. As per our telephone conversations this week I am requesting on behalf of · Vision-Ease Lens, Inc. that the City of Ramsey grant approval of the revised design for construction of their proposed detached storage building. In consultation with Vision-Ease's insurance counsel the building is now to be constructed of reinforced masonry walls with a simple single gable wood framed roof. This wall structure will resist the pressure resulting from the force of explosive rapid combustion of the stored organic peroxide should such an event occur, shielding Vision-Ease's existing nmin building and the two adjacent property lines. Because the storage building's own walls will now provide the required shielding the earth berm is no longer needed, and accordingly it has been deleted. The perimeter security fence remains a pan of the project. Attached please find the revised proposed site plan, which I am faxing with this memo for your immediate reference. As you requested hardcopy will follow in the mail. A full size copy of the drawing is being delivered to you today via courier. Please schedule this item for inclusion in the agenda of the planning committee meeting on Tuesday March 17 and the subsequent city council meeting on Tuesday March 24. Thank you.
