Mr. Groothosen is a self-employed contractor and in accordance with Section 9.11.10 of the <br />Ramsey City Code, is attempting to store his commercial equipment and vehicles indoors. The <br />conditional use permit has been drafted to emphasize that Mr. Groothoscn may park and store his <br />commercial vehicles and equipment at his home, but that does not give him the right to conduct <br />commercial activity in the building. ', <br /> <br />The City has approved overages in accessory buildings in the past. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends approval of the request based on the fact that the use eliminates a <br />blighted condition and provides a way to come into compliance with City Code regarding the <br />parking and storing of commercial vehicles and equipment in the Residential District. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Recommend that City Council adopt Findings of Fact relating to Kevin and Mary Crroothosen's <br />request for a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Recommend that City Council approve/deny Kevin and Mary Groothosen's request for a <br />conditional use permit for an overage in accessory building space and single accessory structure <br />size limits at 145115 Puma Street N.W., based on the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />PC: 05/05/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
