CASE <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR AN EXTENSION OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR AN <br />OVERAGE IN ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SPACE; <br /> CASE OF CRAIG AND RH~ONDA MORRIS <br /> By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Rhonda Morris breeds and raises Arabian horses for her personal use and Council <br />approved the construction of a total of 28,659 square feet of new accessory buildings on <br />the 35 acre homestead to accommodate this special interest. The structures included an <br />indoor riding arena/barn, machinery shed, and a storage building for hay. The 35 acre <br />parcel is allowed a total of 5,664 sq~_mre feet of garage and accessory structure space and <br />Council approved the additional 28,659 square feet proposed, for a total overage of 26,395 <br />square feet. . <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />On March 25, 1997, the City Council granted a conditional use permit to Craig and <br />Rhonda Morris to exceed the total allowable accessory structure space on the property <br />generally known as 16735 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. <br /> <br />Unless an extension is gra~.ted by the City Council, the City .Code states that conditional <br />use permits are considered void unless the use is completed within 12 months of approval <br />of the permit. The City has received a written request for an extension to the permit from <br />Rhonda Morris.
