[ A iSi~MIER GOLF COURSE COMMUi~ITY I

July 1, 1998

Ms. Sylvia Frolik
Zoning Administrator
Ramsey City Hall
15153 Nowthen Blvd.
Ramsey, MN 55303

Re:

Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 3, Northfork Links Addition
Mining and Grading Permit

Dear Ms. Frolik:

Please find enclosed a copy of the grading plan previously
approved by the City for the above indicated 10ts.

The lots have been graded in general accordance with the
enclosed plan and the Northfork Visitor Center has been built on
Lot 7.

The original grading plan was designed to avoid the necessity
of importing any fill materials. In retrospect this was a mistake
because it caused the front yards to dip and slope away from the
driveways, as witnessed by the Visitor Center. North Fork believes
the lots would be more aesthically appealing if additional material
was placed in the front yards of the remaining three lots.
Driveway and housing pad elevations and drainage would remain
unchanged.

To accomplish these changes North Fork requests the right to
lower the berm between lots 5 and 6 from an elevation of
approximately 877' to a finished grade of approximately 873' and to
import an amount of fill material not to exceed 400 yards.

The berm would be regraded in conjunction with the probable
construction of a home on Lot 5 later this summer. The material
gained should be sufficient to fill Lot 5 and most of Lot 6.

Imported material would be obtained from Block 2, Itasca
Shores under conditions and at a time acceptable to the City
Engineer.

Developed by North Fork, Inc.

713 Bradford Ave. No., Champlin, MN 55316 . 612-484-7421 · Sales 612-441-4322 · FAX 612-441-7286
