Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-11- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT fit. RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM SCOTT LEBAKKEN FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO EXCEED THE <br />MAXIMUM SINGLE ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SIZE ALLOWED ON PARCELS 1 <br /> <br />ACRE OR LESS IN SIZE. <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Scott Lebakken for a <br />conditional use permit to exceed the maximum single accessory structure size allowed on the <br />property generally known as 14100 Germanium Street N.W. and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 4, Block 1, Flintwood Hills, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br /> (the "8ubj ect Property"). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings' of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on October 20, 1998, Scott Lebakken, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", properly <br />applied for a conditional use permit to exceed the maximum single accessory structure size <br />allowed on parcels one acre or less in size. <br /> <br />That the Applicants appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on November 2, 1998, and that said public <br />hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately .9 acres in size <br /> <br />That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code states that on parcels 1 acre or less in size, the <br />total of attached and detached garages or accessory buildings shall not exceed 1,488 square <br />feet, however, no single accessory structure shall exceed 624 square feet in size. <br /> <br />6. That the Applicant currently has a 528 square foot attached garage and is proposing to <br /> construct an additional 960 square foot garage, for a total of 1,488 square feet. <br /> <br />That the total square footage for the existing and proposed garage is within the total <br />allowable garage space on the Subject Property, however the proposed garage exceeds the <br />maximum single building size by 336 square feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
