Presentation <br /> <br /> Finance Officer Lund stated that the City provides various services that are billed directly <br /> to residents through the municipal utility bill via Anoka Electric Cooperative and through <br /> invoices. She explained that during 1994, the City Council passed an ordinance allowing <br /> for the certification of payments for current services that are delinquent as of September 1 <br /> of each year. <br /> <br /> Citizen Input <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec mentioned Ms. Yamaguchi's dispute relating to her utility bill. She was <br /> billed for utility charges that should have been paid by the previous owner of her home. <br /> <br /> Ms. Lund noted that it had already been taken care of. <br /> <br /> Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to close the <br /> public hearing. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas <br /> Steffen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Garnet called the regular portion of the City Council meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution #98-09-235 adopting assessments for past-due charges on Municipal Utility . <br />Bills which may include water, sewer, street lighting, recycling charges and penalties <br />incurred and current services rendered. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas <br />Steffen and Zimmerman.
