Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-11- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT # RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM JAMES A. AND JODY L. REICHERT FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO EXCEED THE TOTAL ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SPACE AND THE MAXIMUM <br />SINGLE ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SIZE ALLOWED ON PARCELS 1 TO 2 ACRES <br />IN SIZE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from James and Jody Reichert <br />for a conditional use permit to exceed the total accessory structure space and the maximum <br />single accessory structure size allowed on the parcel located south of 16491 Uranium Street <br />N.W. and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 2, Block 6, Menkveld's Country Park, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property"). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that thc findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on October 19, 1998, James and Jody Reichert, hereinafter referred to as "Applicants", <br />properly applied for a conditional use permit to exceed the total allowable accessory structure <br />space and the maximum single accessory structure size allowed on parcels one to two acres <br />in size. <br /> <br />That the applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on November 2, 1998, and that said public <br />hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 1.04 acres in size <br /> <br />That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code states that on parcels between 1 and 2 acres in <br />size, the total of attached and detached garages or accessory buildings shall not exceed 1,664 <br />square feet and the maximum single accessory structure size allowed is 800 square feet. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the Applicants own the vacant lot of reCOrd south of their homestead parcel and are <br />proposing to construct a 1,920 square foot accessory structure on it, which exceeds the total <br />allowable garage space by 256 square feet and the single accessory structure size restriction <br />by 1,120 square feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
