CASE <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF SITE PLAN REVIEW SECTION OF <br /> RAMSEY CITY CODE; <br /> By: Community Development Assistant Scan Walther <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On September 1, 1998, the Plsnnlng Commission directed sta~to review the Site Plan <br />Review section of City Code. S~fYreviewed the current code, the recommendations of <br />the Chapter 9 Review Subcommittee, and the additional submittal requirement of color <br />renderings and/or colored material samples of the building exterior. <br /> <br />Please find the enclosed copy of the draft code that shows the proposed revisions from <br />the current ordinance. Bold-face text notes, additions, and strike-through text notes <br />deletions. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The draft removes language that may become dated in the course of five or ten years, <br />such as the application fee amount and specific stafftitles. Also, there are clarifications <br />and additions to the list of submittal requirements for site plan review including building <br />elevations, exterior lighting locations, specifications and fixture diagrams, and of color <br />renderings and/or colored material samples. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends the Planning Commission reviews the draft ordinance <br />amendment, suggests modifications, and directs staff to draft the appropriate ordinance <br />and schedule a public hearing to formally consider the revisions at the next regular <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to dire, et City Staffto draft'an ordLn~_nce and schedule a public hearing to amend <br />Section 9.03.06 (Site Plan Review) of the City Code. <br /> <br />Reviewed Checklist: <br /> <br />Community Development Director <br />Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />PC: 12/03/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
