The tbllowing [sa <br />brief summary of required types of reports for different types of projects. <br /> <br /> PROTECT MEMOR-~NDUM- 75% of the projects processed <br /> Non.controversial project' <br /> No new or only minor mounts of new right of way <br />- Non-significani environmental effects <br />- No impact on abutting properties <br />- Generally no formal public involvement is required. <br />- Cia. ss II Actions (projects considered Categorical Exclusions) <br /> Review Process <br />Submit Project Memorandum for review <br />Project Memorandum approved <br />Purchase Right of Way and submit plans to Metro State Aid <br /> <br />PROJECT PATH REPORT/STUDY' REPORT. 20 % of the projects processed <br />- Non-controversial project <br /> <br />Larger amounts of right of way <br />Wetland encroachment of greater than one acre <br />Minor channel changes <br />More than minimal environmental effect but no controversial issues <br />Grading projects commonly fall into this category <br />Class II Actions (projects considered Categorical Exclusions) <br /> <br />Review Process <br />Submit Project Path for review <br />Opportunity for Pubiic Hearing and/or Public Hearing <br />Prepare Study Report <br />Study Report approved <br />Purchase Right of Way and submit plans to Metro State Aid <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT - 5% of the projects processed <br />- Significant mounts &right of way <br />- Large or possible controversial erivironmental encroachments <br />- More than minor channel change <br />- Increasing the number of through traffic lanes <br />- New Alignment <br />Review Process <br />Submit Environmental Assessment for review <br />Opportunity for Public Hearing and/or Public Hearing and distribution of EA as appropriate <br />Environmental Assessment update including a request for a Finding of No Significant Impact <br />Finding of No Significant Impact issued <br />Prepare Study Report for review <br />Study Report approved <br />Purchase Right of Way and submit plans to Metro State Aid <br /> <br />3-6 <br /> <br /> <br />
