PUBLIC INFORMATION OPEN HOUSE <br /> MINNESOTA TRUNK HIGHWAY 47 RECONSTRUCTION <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br /> May 4, 1998 <br /> <br /> 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Pro!ect Description <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey in cooperation with Anoka County and the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation is proposing reconstruction of Trunk Highway (TH 47) from 142nd Avenue to <br />153rd Avenue. The proposed design for this segment of TH 47 includes reconstructing the existing <br />two-lane undivided roadway to a three-lane roadway with a raised center median that would provide <br />protected left turn lanes. New traffic signals are proposed at the following cross streets: <br /> <br /> 142nd Avenue <br /> CSAH 5 (Xldmo Street) <br /> 149th Avenue <br /> 153rd Avenue <br /> <br />It will be necessa.p' to acquire ;dditional right-of-way in order to accommodate the reconstruction of <br />TH 47. A project location map and schedule are provided on the back of tkis sheet. <br /> <br />Objectives of the Pro]e .ct <br /> <br />The objective of this project is to improve traffic conditions, making TH 47 a safer roadway for all <br />users. This will be accomplished as follows: <br /> <br />Install traffic signals at key intersections. <br />Reconstruct roadway to improve horizontal and vertical alignment. <br />Provide a raised concrete median for protected left-tm lanes throughout project corridor <br /> <br />Questions and Comments <br /> <br />If you have any questions or comments regarding the proposed project, please complete and return <br />the attached comment sheet.
