The neighborhood has been
fairly quiet and peaceful. Currenty we do not worry about
our two small children won'dering off into the highway, because
of the nice hill behind the bike path.

Since we have heard of the possible plans for Hwy 47,we have
been very concerned. When we bought our house, we called to
find out any plans for our area. The only thing they said was
plans for the farmhouse down the road. So we decided to buy
the house under the impression that all would be okay.

We are asking you to reconsider your plans for our side of the
street. We have many reasons for this such as safety for our
children, our view, possible flooding without the hill, and it
would cause excessive noise in our neighborhood. Currently
we have a busy road in front of us, and a noisy road behind
us. The birm serves as a barrier between the bike trail and
the highway; making it safer and less noisy. We have a 5
year old and a 1~ year old. We go biking on the bike trail
frequently and would worry about our safety with the highway
being so close to the bike trail.

Some possible alternatives would be to eliminate the center
median in that portion of the road, to dead end Barium Street
at highway 47, or removing half the hill and putting in a
retaining wall.

Please take this into consideration. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Kimberly and Paul Foss
