08/05/98 10:45 FAX 612 862 4201 ANOKA CO HWY DPT ~002 <br /> <br />A~oka Cowry Contra No. 9~,0.~0 <br /> <br /> JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CR 116 (INDUSTRY BOULEVARD) FROM <br />CR $6 (RAMSEY BOULEVARD) TO CSAH $3 (ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD) <br />(C.P. 95-05-116) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made and cut,ed into this 1 lth day of August, 19~, by ami between the County <br />of Anoka, a poi/deal subdivision of the S~ of Minnesota, 2100 Third Avenue, Anoka, NSnnesola 55303, <br />herein~er referred to as the "County" and the City of Ramsay, t5153 Nowthen Boulevard Northwest, Ramsey, <br />Mimaesota 553 03, hereir~f~er refer-ced to as the "C/ty". <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said parties are mutually agreed that thc construction of Indmm'y Bouleva_~ should be done <br />as soon as possible; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties agree that Industry Boulevard should be on the County system; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the parties agree it is ia their best interest that the County cause the construction of Industry <br />Boulevard; and~ <br /> <br />WI~S, thc County will prepare plans and specifications for Amoka County Project No. 95-05q 16; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties agree it is in their best interest that the cost of said project be shared; and, <br /> <br /> WH3EREAS, together with the sharing of the cost of construction for the roadway, the City will <br />incorporale miscellaneous utility work; and, <br /> <br /> WHEKEAS, Minn. Stat. 471.59 authorizes political subdivisions of the State W enter imo jaint powers <br />agreements for the joint exercise o£powers common to each. <br /> <br />NOW, ~ORE, it is mutually stipulated and agreed: <br /> <br />I PURPOSE: <br /> <br /> The county and the City have joined together for the purpose of con.~ruc~g the roadway, <br />drainage, sidewalk, as well as other utilities, on a new alignment to be known as Industry Boulevard, as described <br />in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />B', METHOD: <br /> <br /> The County slmll provide all engi~ering services and shall cause the cormmactiau of Anoka <br />County Project No. 95-05-116 m conformance with said plans and specifications which shall be reviewed by and <br />approved by the City Engineer prior to Calling for bids. The calling for all bids a.nd the acceptance of all bid <br />proposals shall be done by the County. <br /> <br /> The County shall causc thc construction of Project No. 95-05-116 and the City skall reimburse the County <br />for its share of the costs. <br /> <br />l© <br /> <br />The County shall acquire all permits required for the construction of the project. <br /> 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
