Harwood, PE
September 28, 1998
Storm Water, AnokalRamsey Border

! am working with Bob Kirchner, Anoka Community Development, to coordinate
development planning in the Anoka Enterprise Park. We currently are reviewing a
Development Plan that will utilize the entire 35.8 acre parcel that is adjacent to the
Ramsey/Anoka City borders, from the rail tracks to CR 116. This property is platted as
Lots 3 and 4, Block 1, Anoka Enterprise Park 3rd Addition. Attached are 2 sketch
sheets. One sheet shows the layout of a 3-phase building approximately as has been
proposed. Site plan review and approval is anticipated this fall for construction starting
in 1999, A second sketch shows 3 locations where the potential for storm pipe
extension from Anoka to Ramsey has been discussed. The past thinking is that the City
of Ramsey would require or provide full l O0-year stormwater runoff ponding for all
developmental runoff, and that pond outlet capacity for off peak stormwater pond
depletion will be required, That outflow could be within Ramsey, directly to the river or
could be through the City of Anoka. If any inter-city stormwater systems are to be
constructed, the agreement for such facilities, the design and cost implication must be
reviewed and completed soon.

Please contact me with any questions.

John A.
