Board Member <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-09- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE TO THE HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS IN A <br />MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has <br />requested a Board of Adjustment variance from structure height restrictions to develop a <br />senior housing facility on the property legally described as follows: <br /> <br />That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 25, <br />Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying southwesterly of the <br />southwesterly right-of-way line of County State Highway No. 5 and lying easterly <br />of the easterly right-of-way line of Dysprosium Street and lying westerly of the <br />westerly right-of-way line of Trunk Highway No. 47, subject to easements of <br />record. <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF <br />MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Board of Adjustment conducted a public heating pursuant to Section 9.03.05 <br />of the Ramsey City Code on September 1, 1998 and that said public hearing was <br />properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That on August 25, 1998, the Ramsey City Council introduced an ordinance to rezone <br />the Subject Property from B-I Business to Multiple Residential; the ordinance is <br />scheduled for final adoption on September 8, 1998. <br /> <br />3. That the surrounding property is.zoned B-1 Business and Planned Unit Development. <br /> <br />That the City, in conjunction with the Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment <br />Authority, is proposing to develop a 3-story apartment building for senior persons (55 <br />years and older) on the Subject Property. <br /> <br />5. That the Multiple Residential District regulations restrict structure heights to 35 feet. <br /> <br />6. That Section 9.02 of the Ramsey City Code defines 'Building Height' as the distance <br /> measured from the mean ground level to the uppermost point of the roof. <br /> <br /> <br />
