Citizen Input <br /> <br /> George Cowles, 9535 Highway #10 NW, Ramsey, stated he would like to see them straighten out <br /> what they did wrong when Christian put up the first facility. They brought in fill and closed off <br /> our drainage. We have eight inches of water in our yard in the spring. That was never finished. <br /> We had the engineer there and he said it would be taken care of but it's never been done. Now <br /> people want us to blacktop it. We want something done. <br /> <br /> City Engineer Jankowski offered to check on the drainage and contact Mr. Cowles. <br /> <br /> Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to close the public <br /> hearing. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beahen, Beyer and <br /> Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br /> The public hearing adjourned at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br /> (~ouncil Bo~in¢~ <br /> <br /> Mayor Hardin called the regular portion of the City Council meeting back to order at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimn~rman to deny. the <br />request for vacation of easements until Mr. Christian is ready to record the plat. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman, Beahen and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: Public Hearing on the Proposed Modification of Development District <br /> No. I and Creation Tax Increment Financing District No. 7 <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder reported that the City is anticipating creating a new industrial area. <br />To the north is Anoka Electric Cooperative and adjacent to the east is the old redeveloped district. <br />Contemplated is redevelopment of a few of the parcels. We have not received any negative <br />comments from the school district or Anoka County. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin adjourned the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:14 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin called the public hearing to order at 7:14 p.m. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Tom Kurak, resident of Ramsey, stated that redeveloping districts are necessary. The diswicts are <br />tools to use for tax base creation and he expressed being in favor of the creation of this district. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Zimmerman, Beyer and <br />Peterson.
