The agency <br />has a membership of over 1,000 and serves over 15,000 people <br />yearly. Arc of Anoka and Ramsey Counties is committed to <br />building inclusive communities and providing advocacy and <br />support for people with developmental disabilities and their <br />families. Developmental disabilities include conditions <br />such as mental retardation, autism, and cerebral palsy. <br />Arc provides an array of programs such as Toy and Adaptive <br />Equipment Library; Affordable Housing Program; Leisure <br />Camperships; Support Groups; Individual and Systems <br />advocacy; information and referral; and community awareness <br /> <br />programs. <br /> <br />Amount of CDBG Funds Requested:S1,500 <br /> <br />Specific Project Description: <br />Funds will be used to support the most essential services <br /> <br />offered to residents of Anoka County and specifically Ramsey <br />These services encompass a wide range of activities <br />including leisure services, information and referral <br />services; family support; one-to-one advocacy and problem <br />solving with adults with disabilities and the Toy and <br />Adaptive Equipment Lending Library. Arc has over 500 <br />members in Anoka County and provides services to an <br />estimated 800 to 1,000 people in the county. Approximately <br />100 people from the City of Ramsey use Arc services. <br /> <br /> <br />
