Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #97-01- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT AND NEW COMPUTER EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of January 28, 1997, staff presented a request for a budget amendment for the purchase of replacement and new computer equipment; and WHEREAS, included in the 1997 Adopted General Fund Budget was net new monies of $22,840 for the purchase of replacement and new computer equipment, software updates and maintenance; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that additional purchases of computer equipment, software updates and maintenance can be completed utilizing $20,159 of net new monies; and WHEREAS, these additional purchases would require a budget amendment to reallocate current budget line items and allow for additional transfers to and from the Equipment Replacement Fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment to the Data Processing Department by increasing capital outlay by $5,951; reducing maintenance contracts by $6,800; increasing Software Updates by $1,875; and increasing Transfers to Equipment Replacement Fund by $1,190. 2) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment increasing 1997 General Fund Revenues by $4,897 for additional funding from the Equipment Replacement Fund. 3) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of replacement and new co~nputer equipment and software updates/upgrades for a cumulative total not to exceed $24,651. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained:
