However, even though the use <br /> of a sign to warn motorists of a handicapped child area is perml~ <br />siblat prudent and discrirainate use of warning signs is strongly~ <br />advised to make them. noticeable and effective. Care should also <br />be taken not to create a dangerous false sense of security for <br />the child or the child's parents by employing a sign legend whic~ <br />zany give the impression of increased safety or protection. <br /> <br />FA:< (512) 78~.67qoI <br /> <br /> ! <br /> ! <br /> ! <br /> <br />Because no factual evidence has bee'n presented to document the <br />subject signs' success in reducing pedestrian accidentsr vehicle <br />operating speeder or legal liability) the use of these signs <br />should not be encouraged.
