Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #97-02-XXX RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF RAMSEY'S 1998 BUDGET CALENDAR WltEREAS) the Ramsey City Charter states that a budget calendar shall be established annually by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey's Finance Committee recommends the Council adopt the following calendar: February 25 Council adopts the 1998 Budget Calendar. March 3 Finance Officer to distribute summary of 1998 staffing and capital outlay requests and forms for I999 staffing and capital outlay requests to Department Heads and supervisors. March 14 Department Heads and supervisors submit staffing and capital outlay revisions/requests for 1998/1999 to Finance Officer and City Administrator. March 21 Finance Officer summarizes staffing and capital outlay revisions/requests for 1998/1999 and distributes to Department Heads and supervisors. April 1 - 2 Initial budget work sessions with Department Heads and supervisors to review 1998/1999 staffing and capital outlay requests. Ballots for 1998/1999 capital outlay requests distributed to Department Heads and supervisors for voting and ranking of all departmental requests for 1998/1999. April 7 Ballots for 1998/1999 capital outlay requests to be returned to the Finance Officer. April 10 May 16 Budget work session with Department Heads and supervisors to discuss outcome of voting on t 998/1999 capital requests. Finance Officer to distribute 1998 Cost Center Budget Worksheets to Department Heads and supervisors.
