Re.:_ .... .S..p..eed. Our records indicate the existing speed limit
authorizations for all three roads were issued some time ago: in 1985 for Armstrong Blvd., in
1977 for Ramsey Blvd., and in 1975 for ~.nfish Lake Blvd.

I
I

It is Mn/DOT's responsibility to establish speed limits on all roads within Minnesota, when
asked to do so by the road authority, in this instance Anoka Count-./. Given the length of time
since the roads were last studied, it seems possible that existing traffic conditions and
development along these roads have changed significantly since the existing '~i~d limits were
established.

I
I

We have, therefore, forwarded a copy of your letter to Jane Pemble, Anoka County Traffic
Engineer. Anoka County will review the roads and request new speed zoning investigations if
they judge conditions W~rant doing so.

An equal opportunity employer

Post-It". brand ~ax transmitta.! msmo 7871 l' e'p"S..; ~-~

Del~t.
