Land Company. Members Present: Chairperson David Bawden Commissioner Benjamin Deemer Commissioner Paul Holland Commissioner Sharon Jensen Commissioner Charles LaDue Commissioner Bradley Thorud Members Absent: Commissioner Michael Terry Also Present: City Engineer Steve ~ankowsld CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Bawden opened the public heating at 8:0g p.m. REQUEST FOR PRELI1VI1NARY I~LAT APPROVAL OF ALPINE ESTATES; CASE OF ICC. I. AND COlVfPANY City Engineer J'ankowski stated that the property is located north of 153rd Avenue and was formerly owned by a waste m~uagement company. The City acquired the property as part of closure with the waste management company. The City entered into a purchase agreement for development of the property and has conducted several neighborhood meetings. The proposed plat consists of 21 acres to be developed into not more than 38 lots. CITIZEN INPUT Mr. Douglas Fountain, 15255 Garnet Stree~ ~tated that he lives on the west end of the proposed development. He stated that he is not opposed to the project but expressed surprise that cul-de-sacs are proposed because the City has had numerous discussions about eul-de,-sacs. The lowest elevation is on the west end of the development. He asked what water treatment the proposed treatment pond will provide. l~ublic ~earing/Planning Commission/March 4, 1997 Page 1 of 3
