The property owner was granted a mining <br />and grafting pemfit in 1994, when he proposed to remove 14,000 yards of material. The site slopes <br />gently fi-om the northwest to the southeast. The applicant proposed to carve out a fiat area in the <br />southern portion afthe property for a building site. However, no mining or grading has occurred in <br />the last three years and the permit is about Co expire.
