Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #97-04-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ABATEMENT OF CERTAIN SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS <br />CERTIFIED IN 1996 FOR CITY PROJECT #96-12, COUNTY PROJECT #82562 DUE <br />TO CITY ACQUISITION OF TAX FORFEIT PROPERTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution #96-10-297 adopted the original assessment roll related to <br />Project #96~12 described as the sealcoating and crack filling of the east half of section 21 <br />unplatted; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, PIN #21-32-25-43-0034 had been special assessed a single unit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey acquired this property during 1996 through tax <br />forfeture proceedings; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the special assessments should not have been levied against this parcel; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />property. <br /> <br />it is appropriate to abate special assessments levied on City owned <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby approves the abatement of certain special assessments for <br />Project #96-12, County Fund #82562, for PIN #21-32-25-413-0034 for payable 1997. <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby approves the abatement of certain special assessments for <br />Project #96-12, County Fund #82562, for PIN #21-32-25-413-0034 for future payable <br />years 1998 and 1999. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby instructs the Finance Officer to process all paperwork as <br />required by the Anoka County Auditors Office in regard to the abatement and notify the <br />property owner of the Council's action. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> <br />
