Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for it adoption: RESOLUTION #97-04- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE RAMSEY POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of March 25, 1997, staff presented a request for an increase of $3,520 in the amount budgeted for the purchase of two squads; and WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of April 22, 1997, staff presented a request for an increase of $14,617 in the amount budgeted for personal services for 1997; and WHEREAS, included in the 1997 Adopted General Fund budget under the Police Department are sufficient resources to accommodate these budget amendments through reallocations of certain line items. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment to the Police Department budget by increasing Personal Services by $14,617 and Capital Outlay by $3,520. 2) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes budget amendments to the Police Department budget by decreasing electric utilities by $3,500; decreasing other vehicle parts/labor by $1,000; and reducing holiday buy-back potential by $13,637. 3) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of two 1997 Ford Crown Victorias, squad set-up and one mobile data terminal for an amount not-to-exceed $46,520. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: I I I !
