Stipends <br /> <br />Chapter 410 of Minnesota Statutes 1996, Section 410.06, Subd. 1 states that charter commission <br />members shall receive no compensation. Staff recommends that the policy section on stipends <br />should be revised to include this restriction. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />i. Based on discussion, recommend that Council modify and/or adopt proposed commission <br />appointment policy section dealing with serving on more than one City commission at the same <br />time; and <br /> <br />2. Based on discussion, recommend that Council modify and/or adopt proposed commission <br />appointment policy section setting term limits for service on City commissions. <br /> <br />3. Based on discussion, recommend that Council direct staff to prepare an ordinance <br />establishing terms of office and term limits for City Boards and Commissions. <br /> <br />4. Based on discussion, recommend that Council modify and/or adopt the proposed <br />appointment policy section dealing with stipends. <br /> <br />5.
