COUNCIL BUSINESS/PUBLIC HEARING Case #1: Adopt Resolution to Reallocate 1995 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds and Allocate Additional 1997 CDBG Funds Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:18 p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. Public Hearing Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:18 p.m. Presentation Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that, in March, the City Council identified the following planning needs: a housing element to the comprehensive plan, an environmental element to the comprehensive plan and a needs assessment for senior housing in the community. Staff was directed to prepare a resolution for adoption that stated that $23,769 in CDBG funds for historic preservation of the old schoolhouse and $3,231 from the 1997 unallocated CDBG fund balance be applied to these planning projects. Ms. Frolik explained the necessity to conduct a public heating to reallocate the 1995 funds. Citizen Input None Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to close the public heating. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beahen, Beyer and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. The public hearing adjourned at 7:19 p.m. Council Business Mayor Gamec called the regular portion of the City Council meeting back to order at 7:19 p.m. Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt Resolution #97-04-079 to reallocate $23,769 of 1995 CDBG funds and $3,231 of 1997 CDBG funds for planning purposes ($20,000 housing and environmental elements to the comprehensive plan; and $7,000 - senior housing needs assessment).
