CITY COUNCIL CITY OF RA/ViSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF BI]2fNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 25, 1997, at the Kamsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW., Ramsey,/vfirmesota. Members Present: Mayor Tom Gamec Councilmember Carolyn Beahen Councitmember Shetia Beyer Councilmember Natalie Haa~ Steffen Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman Members Absent: None. Also Present: City Administrator Ryan Schroeder City Engineer Steve Jankowski Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik City Attorney William Goodrich CALL TO ORDER Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. CITIZEN INPUT Dell Wissler, 6614 t53rd Lane N.W., Ramsey, read a prepared statement regarding the developments of Alpine Estates and Apple Ridge Estates. He asserted the notice sent to residents indicated a w~ll/ngness to work with residents but residents want a lower density and the plans have not changed. He stated it was implied that only one new home would back up to one existing home but that is not what has been shown on the proposed plans. Also, residents have offered to purchase land but it is not available. Mr. Wissler stated he assumed this project was moving forward until a residential lawyer stepped in. He asserted the Councilmembers were voted to represent residents rather than developers with deep pockets and stated it is not fair to throw out signatures ofnonregistered voters from the petition for one acre or more lots when those who do not live in Ramsey are allowed to vote on things that do not affect their lives. Mayor Gamec asked Mr. Wissler who he believes is on the Council that does not live in the City of Ramsey. Mr. Wissler stated Mr. Schroeder and Mr. Iankowsld do not live in Ramsey.
