I <br /> I <br /> <br />'1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COM/VIISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public heating on Tuesday, April 1, 1997, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW', Ramsey, Minnesota, to consider a <br />request from Good Value Homes to rezone certain property from B-1 and B-2 Business to R-1 <br />Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thomd <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Paul Holland <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Community Development Intern Kirk Skoog <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 9:55 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Good Value Homes is requesting a rezoning of property <br />located north of 153rd and west ofT.H. ~47 to facilitate the development of single family homes <br />on the property. The property is approximately 20 acres in size. The adjacent parcels to the <br />north and west are zoned residential. The parcel to the east is zoned commercial and the property <br />on the south side of 153rd is zoned commercial and residential. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Lori Abrahamson, 5735 - 153rd. Avenue NW, Ramsey, stated that she would just as soon see this <br />property retain its commercial zoning. The City has enough problems with traffic and <br />development at this point. <br /> <br />Charles Johnson, 6010 - 159th Lane NW, Ramsey, stated that he was under the understanding <br />that Alpine Estates and Apple Ridge were the only projects the City was going to consider action <br />on until there are some answers regarding the MUSA line and zoning. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/Public Hearing/Good Value/April 1, 1997 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
