NOTE PLANNING COMMISSION 1VEEETING MINUTES The Park and Recreation Commission noted the Planning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated February 4, 1997, COBI3IISSION BUSINESS: Case #1: Recommend Park Dedication for Apple Ridge A proposal for development of Apple Ridge was presented to the'Park &: Recreation Commission at its February, 1997, meeting by prospective developer Mr. John Peterson of Good Value Homes. At the February meeting, Commission members were asked to provide direction in the form of a motion regarding a corresponding community park related to the development of Apple Ridge, Upon considerations, the Commiss/on voted to pursue acquisition of adjacent district land to the proposed Apple Ridge property for the purpose of community park development. And if this type of land is not available the Commission would desire land for park dedication. The Commission would also consider purchase of land in another area which would accommodate the Commission's goals and objective for a community/neighborhood park. ~Commission Member Droegemuetler abstained from the vote.) Ivf. r. Peterson addressed Council at its next regular meeting following the February Park & Recreation Commission meeting. Mr. Boos shared at the March 13, 1997, meethng that little more information was ava/lable to the Commission in determining park dedication than was available at its February, 1997, meeting.
