Bruce has been very successful in
helping client communities understand their particular sense of place,
stretch their thinking about what is possible and approach issues in a
holistic way. Mn Chamberlain was raised on a six generation Minnesota
dairy farm and continues to be involved in agriculture through his work.
His professional degree thesis titled The Agricultural Landscape: An
Eye To The Future involved the development of an agricultural land
planning and management model focussing on a diverse agricultural
landscape and strong environment. The project was featured in a 1989
edition of the University of Minnesota Works and Mr. Chamberlain
authored an article on the subject published in Rural Landscape in 1990.

Through a Bush Foundation grant, Bruce Chamberlain was retained by
the American Farmland Trust to write and produce a video on the subject
of agricultural non-point source pollution called Choices: On Agriculture
and Water Quality. The work is a companion video for a publication
by the same name created by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
The video was completed in 1991 and was nationally distributed to
extension and conservation agencies for use as an educational tool on
the subject.

Mr. Chamberlain continues his involvement with agricultural,
environmental and land use issues through work on his family farm,
volunteer work with various rural and environmental organizations and
as a guest critic at the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining HKGi,
Bruce was with VanDoren-Hazard-Stallings, Inc.; Soil Conservation
Service; and the City of St. Paul, Division of Parks and Recreation.

BRUCE CHAMBERLAIN, RLA
PRINCIPAL

HOISINGTON
KOEGLER
GROUP
INC

Hoisington Koegler Group Inc.

glll

page
23
