Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #11- 06 -XXX RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING DAVID JEFFREY FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY OF RAMSEY WHEREAS, David Jeffrey served on the City of Ramsey's Planning Commission from October 2003 through December 2004; and WHEREAS, Mr. Jeffrey was elected to the Ramsey City Council Ward 4 seat in November 2004; and WHEREAS, Mr. Jeffrey officially took office in January 2005 and served the City through December 2008; and WHEREAS, Mr. Jeffrey served as the Council alternate to the Economic Development Authority from January 2005 through December 2008; and WHEREAS, Mr. Jeffrey was re- elected to the Ramsey City Council Ward 4 seat in November 2008; and WHEREAS, Mr. Jeffrey officially took office for his second term in January 2009; and WHEREAS, Mr. Jeffrey also served as the Chair for the Housing and Redevelopment Authority from January 2011 through June 2011; and WHEREAS, due to health reasons, Mr. Jeffrey resigned from his seat as Councilmember for Ward 4, effective June 1, 2011; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey extends a thank you to Mr. Jeffrey for his dedicated service to the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, this resolution is presented to David Jeffrey in recognition for his service to the City of Ramsey. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby commends and thanks David Jeffrey for his service to the City of Ramsey. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same:
