i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> I <br />! <br /> I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-06- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />#97-18 (SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN EXTENSION TO ALPINE <br />ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Ramsey City Council on February 25, <br />1997, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc., the Consulting Engineer, has prepared contract <br />documents and specifications for the sanitary sewer and watermain extension to service the <br />Alpine Addition, and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for <br />approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper <br />and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state <br />that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, <br />1997, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center by the City Administrator and City Engineer or their representatives, <br />will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. <br />on July 22, 1997 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is <br />questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the <br />Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed <br />with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond <br />or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of <br />such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />6,5 <br /> <br /> <br />
