Schroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Enclosed within the Council packets are file jackets containing information about the <br />Association of Metropolitan Municipalities (AMM). The AMM is constituted to represent the <br />collective interests of all metro cities on metro and statewide issues with unique metro <br />significance. The AMM has made presentations to the City of Ramsey in the past with an intent <br />of encouraging membership to the AMM. The AMM will be bringing representatives of area <br />cities which are current members to again encourage the city to consider membership. <br /> <br />If the City becomes an AMM member for 1998 it is expected that the dues will be $3,927. That <br />compares to North Metro Mayors Association dues of $8,200, Lower Rum watershed dues of <br />$6,500, League of Minnesota Cities dues of $8,011 and Chamber dues of $200 and $150 for the <br />two local chambers. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />This is for presentation/question/answer.
