As the
reports show, the City issued 16 new home permits, which compares to the 24 projected during
this period in the residential activity forecast. This brings the total projected single family home
permits to 219 for the entire year. Also included in the reports is a list of the currently
anticipated commercial/industrial projects slated for completion in the next 12 months. As this
list indicates, the City is expecting to construct over 397,000 square feet of space. This results in
a total increase in space of over 470,000 square feet, making it only 63,000 square feet short of
the biggest year ever.

As you will note, the building permit report indicates that the City. has issued permits for eight
new townhomes. These new townhomes will be part of the final phase of the Sunfish Square
development along Sunfish Lake Boulevard. This multifamily development will have a total of
81 units when fully developed.
